Let's Call This the BeginningHe turned back towards me and held out his hand. I reached forward, watching his chest rise and fall underneath his shirt. I imagined his lungs were full of wind; there was a storm hidden behind his teeth and we were going to run away together to fly kites and watch the clouds chase the sun across the horizon. Our fingers touched and my imagination raced; we were holding hands at midnight in the city, climbing rooftops and racing shooting stars across the empty streets.
