Inspiration
C'est incroyable, hein? Imaginez-vous le moment où la goutte a atterri sur la feuille.
I took this picture while hiking in "le parc national de la Gaspésie" – this was on the first hike that we did. I don't remember how long this one was, but the second one was 19.3 km, and over 1,000 meters high. They were tough, for sure, but so, so worth it. This plant was up in the alpine forest; while everyone sat and enjoyed the break, I was hunting around for some beautiful flora to take pictures of.
Nature is so incredible.
Whenever I look at this, I try to imagine the moment at which the water droplet landed there. I can't figure it out.
Technique
I took at least ten of this picture trying to get the focus and depth of field to my satisfaction. It was especially hard because the wind kept blowing the plant ever so slightly, which would mess up my focus, and also make me fear that the droplet would fall off.
