Inspiration This is a dock in North Sydney, Cape Breton – where my family and I had dinner before boarding the ferry to go to Newfoundland this summer. We ate right by the water, and after we walked around to look at all of the boats. I took some nice shots of my sister and then … this occurred. I'm not really sure how we got from peaceful walking to epic jumping and rocking out. It just sort of happened.
I just set up my camera on my tripod and my daddy-o held down the shutter while we flailed about. Simple enough, neh?
Technique After the trip, though, I didn't really know what to do with the shots. I mean, they're cool and all, but unless I become a rockstar and need a punk album cover, there's not much use for 'em.
Turns out they make good lomo-fodder. This was one of the pictures I first tried lomo editing with. I really like the highlight of yellow-orange in our hair and the way the lens blur filter affected the background. :]
Special Mentions *WanderingHere, my favourite person ever to flail about with.
